Coated & Non-Woven Abrasives

Resin-Fiber Discs

Coated Abrasives

Coated abrasives, often referred to as "sandpaper," are made of three components:

  1. an abrasive grain

  2. the backing on which the grain adheres

  3. an adhesive bond

Sandpaper applications range from:

removal of coatings or materials

  • surface Preparation

  • surface grain

  • surface polishing

RockRidge coated abrasive products feature these high quality abrasive grains in our specially selected products:

  • aluminum oxide

  • zirconia alumina

  • ceramic alumina

Non-Woven Abrasives

Non-woven abrasives consist of a web of nylon fibers impregnated with abrasive grains bonded with synthetic resins. However, recent innovations in fiber and resin technology have created new products for more finishing applications.

There is a wide-range of choices in:

  • densities - soft to hard

  • grains - extra coarse to ultra fine

  • shapes

  • sizes

Non-woven products are ideal for:

  • cleaning

  • blending

  • deburring

  • stripping

  • finishing

  • surface preparation
