RockRidge's quick-change discs provide exceptional grinding, deburring, and blending with flexibility in small areas. These types of discs feature a twist-on-and-off fastening system. The tool-free attachment design makes fast work of disc changes to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Our discs are sold in 2 or 3 inch disc sizes. The attachment styles available are Type R and Type S.
RockRidge's coated quick-change discs come in these two abrasive types:
Aluminum Oxide - is a versatile grain. With coarser grits, aluminum oxide has the cutting ability for stock removal or blending. With finer grits aluminum oxide delivers a softer scratch pattern that is often desired for finishing and polishing processes. Aluminum oxide can be used on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Ceramic - an abrasives with a micro-crystalline structure that is hard, tough, and very sharp. The grains’ micro-structure begins to break down, creating new sharp edges. Those new edges provide the fastest cutting rate of any abrasive grain. Ceramic grain works on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, but it outperforms other grains on stainless steel, titanium, inconel, and other high alloys.
RockRidge's non-woven discs provide quick cutting speeds and consistent, smear-free finishes. Our discs are sold in 2 or 3 inch disc sizes. The attachment styles available are Type R and Type S.
There are two non-woven densities available to meet your application needs:
Surface Conditioning (SCM) - a multi-purpose, lighter density material for general deburring, surface preparation, and finishing. Surface conditioning is available is coarse, medium, and very fine.
Supreme - a higher density composition for heavy-duty blending, deburring, and stripping application. The Supreme is available in coarse and medium.
